THE PARK POST

Kalli and Critter & Trent and Alaina both came and saw us in February.  I don't know why we didn't take pics with Kalli, but we had a fun time getting pedicures, lunch at California Pizza Kitchen, and chatting in the sunshine. Alaina had a soccer tournament down here so they stayed with us for 3 days.  Sydney and Alaina had so much fun together.  We loved watching her soccer games too and had fun at Tia Rosa's with Licia and Matt.   Look who has officially passed up his Dad!

We spent President's Day weekend in Las Vegas with Grandma and Grandpa Park.  The kids had never been before and were initially very impressed with the grandeur and lights.  But it was interesting how quickly they recognized the feelings of worldliness and sin all around them.  Paige mentioned to me several times how she just didn't feel good in the casinos and Jackson was embarrased by the scantily clad women everywhere.  It was definitely an eye opening experience for all of them. In the past Mike and I have loved the cheap hotel rooms, food and good shows in Vegas.  But it seems like everything has gotten so expensive and we didn't choose the greatest show this time.  I would never recommend Criss Angel's show to anyone.  It was kind of a disappointment and not worth the money for sure.  But it was fun to be with Paige again and to see Grandma and Grandpa.  It is so weird to think we can hop in the car and in 5 hours meet up with our fam...
