First Day of School 2013

Image
PAIGE is a senior!  How did she grow up so fast?? I want this year to go super slow.   MCKELL is a freshman!  First year of high school and seminary.  She is still adjusting to waking up at 6 instead of 8. I'm so glad they are at the same school again!   SYDNEY is a 3rd grader.  All by herself in elementary.  She loves her teacher Miss Fitts! JACKSON is a 6th grader!  He is in his first year of middle school and loves not having to wear a uniform.  (If I can just convince him that black socks do actually get dirty)

Cooking for Crowds

Paige has to complete a 100 hour senior project for  school this year.  She chose to learn about catering and event planning.  Her mentor is a lady in our ward, Tina Burgamy,  who owns Southern Style Catering. This summer she had to complete 25 of her hours.  She helped with a wedding for her first event.  It was fun to see her working hard.  She has learned a lot and cooks for us too now which is a bonus.

Ironically his deployment turned out to be one of his best memories because it made him realize he can do hard things and gave him a deeper appreciation for the real soldiers who sacrifice so much.  It's funny to look at experiences when ...
