THE PARK POST

  Today is October 1st so I'm playing catch up again on our blog.  September kept us busy with family in town, football  and basketball games, our anniversary, Sydney's 12th birthday, and so much more.   CHURCH BASKETBALL  FORTS  &        PONYTAILS FOR ACE PERRY FOOTBALL     PICKING OUT GRANITE FOR MY PARENTS' NEW HOUSE.  THE HARD HAT DIDN'T HELP HER HAIR:)!  23 YEAR ANNIVERSARY--DELIVERY FLOWERS WERE A BIG SURPRISE! BYU VS U OF ARIZONA              SCHOOL PROJECTS!!!  This last month we have spent some time serving in different capacities.  Obviously Paige is serving people full time right now in Montpelier, ID,  McKell served the poor in Nicaragua for a week during July, and Mike and I also serve in callings at church (he's the Sunday School president and oversees the teaching that happens in our ward, as well as teaches a class once a month to help teachers teach more effectively and I work with the 16-17 year old girls right now in the young women's program).   But I was also given an assignment to serve as chair person on a stake committee at church where we were asked to find a way to reach out to the  refugees in our community and serve them.  We found a local organization here in AZ called the Welcome to America Project (WTAP) which assesses the needs of new refugees (language proficiency, physical needs, etc) then collects donations or finds resources and then delivers them to the families every...
