March Moments

For my mom's birthday we helped welcome three refugee families to America, went to a cute little Italian lunch place called Cibo in Phoenix and then went to the Heard Museum that afternoon.  I think she had a fun time and enjoyed serving and being with some of her family.   She is never happier than when she is helping others and building relationships. We were lucky to have Paige here for a few days too.  She came for Tori Tenney's wedding. F  Sydney also helped serve at the food bank that same morning.  She thought being with her friends sounded more fun.  We've also been on a roll of playing cards on Sunday night.  Not sure if poker is considered an appropriate Sabbath day event, but our kids sure like it and it helps us spend time together, so I say that is more than appropriate.  ha ha Sydney and Mike always beat me and Jackson.  We have decided its because they have more patience, they're more cautious, an...

On Valentines Day McKell texted us these sweet cards. Nothing makes a parent happier!! Sydney loved playing church volleyball.  They almost pulled off the championship! J ackson's newest addiction is brown rice, cholula sauce and ranch.  I don't know where he comes up with these concoctions.  One morning while I was going through old letters and notes from my past, the doorbell rang and when I opened it John and Yvonne Hansen from our Logan years were standing there.  We hadn't seen each other for 14 years and because they don't do social media I really had no idea what they were up to.  I had continued to send her Christmas cards over the years and so she had my address and took a chance that we still lived here.  What a sweet couple hours we had together.  She was the RS president and I was her counselor way back in the day and they also lived two doors down in our little townhome in Yorkshire.  ...
