Thankful For Lots!
Thanksgiving 2014 was our moving week. We spent a few nights in a hotel in Columbus, then headed out of town Friday the 21st. We drove through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico and stayed the last night in Flagstaff, Arizona. It was fun to see some new states we had never been in before and we even got to see my cousin Cory and his family in Albuquerque. We arrived in Gilbert on Mon. the 24th and moved into our new house on the 25th. We have so many things to be thankful for!
1. We made it all the way across the country in two cars with no car troubles or accidents! (Although I did make the mistake of having the car fixed the morning we were supposed to leave and it cost us 4 hours or so, but taught us how to be patient.)
2. Ace flew to AZ on an airplane. How the dog became #1 on the priority list I'll never know. Licia and Matt were nice enough to take him for a few days so we could get settled in. He had fun with his dog cousins, Murphy and Fenway, and we didn't have to listen to him whine or bark at every car that passed.
3. More food options! We missed places like In N Out and Cafe Rio (or any good Mexican food for that matter).
4. Being all together again (Paige too) and making memories in a new place!
5. Beautiful new unique landscapes to explore and appreciate
6. Lots of rain, from an AZ perspective, is something that you view as a blessing I'm told. Not sure I liked it sitting on the lawn for a week though? And the fruit trees in my backyard have produced some of the best grapefruit and oranges I've ever had.
