Zions Spring Break

We decided to break with tradition this year and do something that we've never done before over Spring Break.  We rented a cabin out in the middle of Southern Utah near Zion's National Park.  Saying it is "near" Zion's was a little bit of a stretch because we were 40 min. from the nearest grocery store or any kind of civilization.  We also were surprised as we arrived the first night because there was snow all over the ground near the cabin. Let's just say we were under prepared for snow!  Living in Arizona you forget there are actually cold places elsewhere.
We drove a lot and hiked a little the next day because Sydney got so sick she puked in the car several times.  Poor girl!   She and I didn't go far but the others got out and hiked around some.   My favorite look out point was Horse Shoe Bend which is near Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam.  Mike couldn't handle the height and having no railing really freaked him out.  Jackson and McKell really weren't helping by standing right near the edge.

We enjoyed the cabin we stayed in.  It was really beautiful and we had fun watching the OJ series together.  We really got hooked on that and even watched the real trial while we drove home on the lap top.  I've wasted possibly a full month of my life on that trial!! :)  We saw lots of wild life in the Park, and also on the screen in Cedar City when we went to Zootopia.  All in all it was a pretty fun trip!
