Busy Month!

Mike and I spent a week celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary in NYC!  We saw three musicals: Dear Evan Hansen, My Fair Lady, and Mean Girls!  We loved all of them for different reasons.  We really want to see Hamilton but decided we could see three plays for the same price.  We know eventually the price will come down and we are willing to wait.  Broadway plays are one of our favorite things to do. I'm lucky to have a husband that enjoys them as much as I do.  We went to the American Natural History Museum and saw some amazing things, especially the dinosaur bone collection.  It is super impressive! We also hit the 9/11 Museum and memorial.  That was my second time but Mike has never been.  It's always so impactful.  One of our favorite days was renting bikes in Central Park.  It was so beautiful and refreshing to get away from the concrete jungle and see nature.  We have been so blessed to remain best friends and have a marriage of equality and partnership. Marrying Mike was my best decision!

The famous location where I left my mark on the NY streets!

We got home on a Saturday and I left the next Thursday with McKell to drive her car back up to BYU, then Mike and Sydney flew up the next night.  Jackson really didn't want to come so we let him stay home alone.  He enjoys feeling like he's a bachelor for a few days, but I think he missed us near the end.

Morgan and Jessica were married on Saturday and we loved being a part of their big day! We got the two older girls all settled into their new apartments.  They seem to like where they are so far! College was really stressful for McKell as a freshman but she seems much more confident and ready this year.  It was fun running into Bailey Hills on campus.  The girls say it's like all of their worlds colliding at BYU where they see people from Washington, Georgia, Utah, etc.

We spent Labor Day with the Parks.  Utah is so beautiful during this time of year.

We had a picnic up the canyon for lunch and had a yummy dinner at Sean and Natalie's beautiful new home.  We are glad they moved back to Utah because it makes it easier for us to see them more often.

Last weekend we officially ended Summer by letting all of the kids take friends to Lake Powell.  We stayed on Linda's house boat again and rented a speed boat. We had a great time.  But I'm glad to be back to a schedule and my own bed!
