Odds n' Ends of May

After not blogging for a month I have some catching up to do. Here are some photos from the last couple weeks in May.Paige graduated from the 8th grade at Veteran's Memorial Middle School. She's headed to Columbus High School this Fall with her two best friends from school, Berkeley and Bentlie.
Birthdays come faster every year, but I can honestly say I don't mind being 38. My life is pretty darn good! I loved the London book Mike got for me.
Jackson graduated from 2nd grade. He had a rough year with his teacher and had the hardest time transitioning to Georgia. He is still very loyal to his Washington friends and didn't really click with anyone in his class. Hopefully this next year he will have a better experience. I knew he didn't like his class much when he passed on the ice cream sundaes and told me he just wanted to be checked out early. Paige had her year end dance recital with Columbus Ballet. She performed ballet, contemporary, and jazz numbers. She's got some versatility in that little body of hers.
Sydney graduated from Pre-School and received the title, "most independent". When they asked her what she wants to be when she grows up she said "a doctor." McKell graduated from 5th grade and is now moving on to Veteran's Memorial for 6th grade. She really enjoyed this last year, especially her music classes with Ms. Zabel.

  1. I can't believe another school year has gone by and that it has been nearly a year since you guys moved to Georgia. I'm glad your kids (mostly) acclimated quickly and are liking it there. We sure miss you guys, though. Hard to believe Corey and Paige are going to be freshmen in high school. I am looking forward to a relaxing summer before the craziness starts in the fall. School is finally over tomorrow.

  2. We're doing the same transitions that you are this fall...one to high school, one to middle school, and one to Kindergarten. I wonder if it's something about boys having a harder time with change. Our girls transitioned fine too. And Jarem being still at home was fine too. Jarem says he doesn't want to go to Kindergarten. He's a home-body much like his mom I guess.
