Life is about fulfillment, not comfort

We had such a great weekend celebrating the farewell and beginning of Paige's 18 month adventure to Idaho.  I was overwhelmed by the support shown by both our families. It's amazing how much joy and sadness you can feel all at the same time.  Katie reminded me this week of a new mantra she is using for her life that I am also using for mine.
"Life should be fulfilling,  not just comfortable."

Saying goodbye to Paige at the airport was tough.  My heart ached for a few days for sure. But in those moments  I've realized how much we love each other and without that distance it's hard to fully understand that.

I'm so grateful to my parents and Heath's family for taking her to the MTC.  Heath got some great pics for me.

Grandma Fabrizio got to be there too.  What a great memory for Paige.

Lida wore her Jackson Hole shirt for Paige. :)

My last time talking to her on the phone before she enters MTC.

Even Ace is missing her. . . or he likes the smell of her laptop case .

  2. I know that bittersweet feeling. I missed him everyday for a long time. At some point in the day, I would see something of his or a picture or just a place he used to go and have that little tugging on my heartstrings. A week or so after Alex left, I asked Eric how long he thought it would take before I stopped finding Alex's things around the house. He said, "Not long enough". That said, once I got really busy with selling the house and moving stuff and homeschooling Jarem, it got a lot easier because my mind was more focused on other things. Now, he's been out 14 months. I still miss him, but the growth I've seen in him through his letters are the best! Mondays are awesome!! Welcome to the status of missionary mom! We have to stick together. :)
