New York Celebration

I was so lucky to spend a once in a lifetime kind of trip with my parents and 6 siblings in New York for a week.  I had such a great time and made memories to last forever.  How did I get such awesome people for my family?  I'm so grateful that my parents help keep us close even though we live in different places and have different personalities and perspectives on life.  LOVE and UNDERSTANDING are the key!

Licia enjoying her first NY taxi.  It was an adventure!

Times Square with the Girls!
Those seats were sure tiny, but Matilda was awesome!

Let's just say I learned a lot about myself on the streets of  New York.

9/11 Memorial Museum

Gotta love Dad and his compression socks.  He was sure enjoying the wheelchair ride!
Subway ride to the museum

We expect this from my Dad, but definitely not from the Tonster!!

BILLY JOEL CONCERT

John Mayer and Billy Joel rocking it out.

When we pick the eating establishment.

When Deno picks the eating establishment.  He always seems to know how to get the right table, best tickets, and best transportation.  :)

And here we are eating again before Kalli and Deno had to take off.  We always made sure our meals were in the plans.:)

Then we took the bus tour that Kalli wanted to take.  Sorry Kalli.

On Friday Chad and Trent left for home and the rest of us-Heath, Licia, Mom, Dad and Me-rented a suburban (after realizing a jeep wasn't going to cut it) and drove to Pennsylvania and Upstate New York.  It was so beautiful with the leaves changing and we loved all of the church history sites.

We almost missed the Priesthood Restoration Site on the Susquehannah River.  They kept it open for us an hour past closing time.  I want to go back and spend more time there.
Joseph Smith translated 70% of Book of Mormon at this site.

Smith Family Home--I don't know how all 11 or 12 of them lived in this house.

Palmyra Visitors Center

Niagara Falls was our last stop.  This was the view from our hotel window.  It was well worth the extra money.
Mom proving she can still get off the ground.  Dad couldn't:
