Christmas Break 2017

For our pre-Christmas fun we visited the lights at the Mesa Temple and went to A Christmas Carol at Hale Center Theater.  I loved being with the kids and hearing them talk and interact.  They are all so different from each other and each bring their own personality and ideas to our family discussions.  Sharing opinions come easily in our household!

We spent Christmas Eve with Grandma and Grandpa Ogden.  We splurged on the matching family pajamas and took some embarrassing pics, but I'm sure we will love them one day.  ha ha  One of my favorite things we did this year was light luminaries with all of our neighbors up and down the street on Christmas Eve.  It was really beautiful, but the pics don't do it justice.  We also had each person write a letter to whomever they got a gift for.  I loved hearing them say nice things about each other.  Christmas to me is the feeling of Christlike love and warmth towards everyone.  It's hard to beat that feeling!
Grandma and Grandpa Park came the day after Christmas.  Unfortunately we didn't take any pics with them.  I'm so mad I didn't think to do that! We went to Scottsdale and did some shopping, Hugh and Mike golfed, and we spent time talking and eating of course.  Joyce met up with her old friend Cheryl who we know because her son Justin plays golf with Mike all the time. It was fun having them here!

Then we spent the first week of January in L.A. We did a celebrity bus tour, saw the Hollywood stars, went to the Grove, hung out at Santa Monica Pier, and went to Universal Studios.  Katie, Nick and Braxton came and stayed with us for a couple days too.  We had a great time!  It's so fun having the kids be older and more mature.  The girls flew out from LA to Provo.  Their flight was so delayed that we actually drove home before they ever got on the plane.  Not their best night!
