March Moments

For my mom's birthday we helped welcome three refugee families to America, went to a cute little Italian lunch place called Cibo in Phoenix and then went to the Heard Museum that afternoon.  I think she had a fun time and enjoyed serving and being with some of her family.   She is never happier than when she is helping others and building relationships. We were lucky to have Paige here for a few days too.  She came for Tori Tenney's wedding.

Sydney also helped serve at the food bank that same morning.  She thought being with her friends sounded more fun.

We've also been on a roll of playing cards on Sunday night.  Not sure if poker is considered an appropriate Sabbath day event, but our kids sure like it and it helps us spend time together, so I say that is more than appropriate.  ha ha Sydney and Mike always beat me and Jackson.  We have decided its because they have more patience, they're more cautious, and don't make stupid risky decisions

And Syd is loving her co-ed middle school parties now too!

A few of McKell's friends are headed out on missions--Sophie is headed to Chile and Savannah is going to New Hampshire!

Spring Break was a blast!  We got to see McKell's new place and spent some time at BYU.  At the creamery we ran into our old professor George Pace.  He was so cute and talked to each one of the kids.  We also ran into Kalli and her crew at Brick Oven.  I still don't know how she manages so many people!!

And we loved our annual ski day at Brighton!  The older two girls tried skiing for the first time and liked it much better than snow boarding.  Jackson won't give up on snowboarding even though it's harder.  I don't think skiing is as cool!

We got to visit my 90 year old Grandma Fabrizio too.  She seemed so little and frail, but sharp as a tack and happy! ( Or maybe the two big people on either side of her made her look little and frail.  HAHA)

Our last day there we realized we hadn't taken any pictures with the Parks, even though we had spent most of our time with them.  Grandma and Katie were teaching the day we left so we only got a picture with Grandpa.
The girls spent Saturday marching at the capitol for stricter gun control.  They're getting the full college experience.  I like to see them caring about issues in the world.
