April and May 2019

Last home game for volleyball.  We loved that Jackson was a part of the team!  He got an award for being a student athlete as well. He looked more shocked than anyone else when that was announced.  He has also really taken up fishing recently.  He continues to shed pounds and has shown a lot of self discipline this last year.  We can't believe he is a senior and almost an adult!
My friends are fancy, crafty,  and blonde.  I sometimes feel out of place with not only my looks, but also my ideologies, but they are also generous, loving, and accepting and that makes is pretty easy to feel like I belong.
Paige has published papers and done lots of research while studying at BYU.  She has worked very hard and that hard work has paid off for her.

Jackson went on his first date to Junior Prom.  We kind of had to force him, but he finally followed through and went with Anni Hall.  He said he had a pretty good time but doesn't know when he will want to go on another date again.  He doesn't really love the whole dating idea.

The older girls came home for a week in April.  We sure love having them around.  They brighten up our boring life.  We went to Wonderscapes and to Sydney's EVMCO concert.

Mike and I took a much needed get away to the beach in Carlsbad.  It was so relaxing and helped Mike take a break from his stressful job.  We read, sat by the ocean, walked everywhere, and of course ate!

Sydney is all done with 8th grade and junior high!  It feels like another huge milestone in our life. She had a 4.0 this year every quarter.  That is quite an accomplishment!

  1. Wow! Jackson has gotten so tall and svelte...wish I had that much discipline :) You are now officially done with middle school...a major accomplishment! Love catching up with your family.
