Halloween 2011

Sydney still loves Halloween.  She had this costume thought out long ago.  Last year as a bride she couldn't run very well, so she chose an outfit that she could sprint in.

Mike was really into Halloween this year.  (Here is his best monster impression)  I think he was glad to not be in Iraq.  I was sure glad too.

It was a chore getting Jackson to put on some kind of costume and then let me take a picture of him.  He had a blast trick or treating with his friends.  I'm glad he decided to go this year.

Jackson's loot.  He got a little excited at some of the houses that had bowls of candy sitting outside with no sign on them and decided that meant to take the whole bowl.  He got feeling really guilty later on and asked if he could take some of the candy back.  He put some in a bowl with a note saying he was sorry and left it on their doorstep.  At least he does have a conscience.

Syd colored her hair at the Fall Festival at school.

Trunk or Treat at the church.

Soooo happy I didn't have to carve pumpkins this year.  Last year I was in tears by the end of Halloween night.

Loved this one!

  1. You are lucky you still have younger ones to enjoy Halloween. Corey went to trunk or treat to help out, but Gabby didn't get to do that or go trick-or-treating because of dance rehearsals. The thing is, I don't think she really cared. Sydney looked very cute as a cowgirl. Gabby did dress up as a cowgirl for "career day" at school. She even had a genuine Stetson hat that we borrowed from our friend. Unfortunately I was at work and didn't get a picture!

  2. Smart Sydney for choosing something practical. They were both cute! And I am glad you had Mike home this year too! I love all your decorations around your house. Very cute!
