We spent New Year's Eve in Flagstaff with all of the kids and Jonny and Jo. We had a great time playing games, laughing, eating amazing food thanks to Jonny and Paige, and skiing. Everyone got along great and we felt so blessed to have those precious moments all together. The snow was so beautiful and it felt like we were in a dream world. The cold was fun for a few days, but I'm always glad to be back in warmer weather. The only downside to the trip was Jackson got really sick with Covid, and so that was a coincidental repeat from our ski trip last year to Flagstaff when Jackson gave covid to all of us. Looks like a fun trip! You guys packed a lot of things into one weekend. That hotel is amazing. I loved exploring it with Rozanne when Gabs & I were in Nashville. I hope we make it back there before they move away. I cannot believe their 4 years will be up this coming June. The Christmas lights & decorations were very pretty. Is that the same Cracker Barrel we went to that time? I miss eating at the Cracker Barrel. We ate there a lot when we lived in Iowa. Those first pictures of your kids at the Etowah Indian Mounds were hilarious. You can tell they were super excited to be there ;)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you fit pretty much all the sights in for just a few days. Good job! It was so good to see you all! I am glad you enjoyed Nashville. You've now seen more than we have! :) Pretty sad, huh? We still haven't made it to the Parthenon. I am glad you enjoyed Caney Fork. We have never been there, but I did research on good restaurants and it kept coming up. We decided to stick with something tried and true. Now that you guys have been the guinea pigs, we are going to have to try it. LOL!
