Seeing Red in Richfield

It's pretty cheezy to see a whole group of people in matching T-Shirts, but I love a good reunion shirt that can be used for jammies or work-outs for years later. Because this reunion included so many people, they had us wear a different color for each of the nine kids of Walter and Mary Ogden. Dale Ogden, my paternal grandpa, was represented in the color red. I thought this color best suited my grandpa because of his bold personality and direct way of communicating. He was definitely the loudest leader in the group. I think I inherited a few of those qualities myself. I was surprised how much I enjoyed talking with relatives I haven't seen for years. The last time I attended one of these extended reunions I remember hating it and being so bored. I guess that a sign of getting older is when you start appreciating people who have gone before you and enjoy talking to those family members still alive. I am slowly turning into my parents. AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!

Jackson burned his finger on the waffle iron at the hotel the morning of the family picture. Getting him there on time was an insurmountable task filled with tears and dramatics, but somehow we made it.

  1. family reunions, high school reunions, they are all the same. Since facebook and blogs, we keep up with everyone anyway, why get together? We just did Jodi's family at the beginning of the month and to be honest, it was a lot of fun.

Mike's in our prayers, we are grateful for his service and hope he is doing well. We hope you are doing well!
