Aspen Grove--July 2009

We spent a week with Nikki's family at a camp in Utah by Sundance called Aspen Grove. We had a fun filled week of activities and relaxation. The kids had their own age group activities they went to during some of the day and that freed up the adults to be able to go do things together as adults. They provided all of the meals and clean up, so it truly was a vacation. We had no TV, but plenty of stories to tell and memories that will last a long time.
One of the most beautiful places I've been.
The whole dang family (minus Matt, Lexi, and Jenessa)
Nikki rock climbing for her first time.
These outfits are not flattering, but there needed to be proof that I actually did it!
Sydney and Alaina
Sydney on Morgan's shoulders at the Family Olympics. We had to all stand on a little box and sing "Row, Row, Row your Boat" without falling off. We didn't do too well.
The kids getting ready to throw the balls into the bucket on Taylor's head.
Jackson was the official lounger when it came to helping out with the Olympic games.
Jackson in heaven with a gun in his hands!
Sydney digging for gold in the old pioneer town.
Heath, Nikki and Chris
Jackson riding a horse. (a plastic one anyway)
All of the men went golfing one day. Unfortunately Mike is always the photographer so he is not in the shot.
Wasatch Golf Course in Heber, UT
We hiked to a place called Stewart Falls. It was beautiful.
Mike and Nikki at Stewart Falls.
Sydney and Emma. Emma is my sister Kalli's daughter. We call these two Salt n' Pepper because they are the same age but as different as you can be.
McKell enjoying the fishing at the pond. She must have her Dad's patience.
Jackson didn't enjoy it quite as much because he inherited his mother's patience.
This is what happens to men when they haven't watched TV for a week.
Grandma and Grandpa with their grandkids.

The cabin we stayed in.
This was the view we had from the cabin.
