Catching Up on Christmas Break

The kids finally went back to school today after a 3 week Christmas break.  There is a lot to catch up on, so so here it goes.
The kids had their first dog sitting job for our neighbor's, the Packards, the first week of Christmas break.  They had to get up early every morning and take care of them every night, even on Christmas.  I think they realized that having dogs takes some work.  They haven't been asking for a dog since.

Sydney and Darby

Jackson and McKell earned all of the money they made.  Jackson did not like the idea of paying tithing on the money.  He said, "I worked really hard for that money, I am not giving any of it away." ( I guess a fhe lesson on tithing  is in the works.)

Christmas morning 6 am coming up the stairs.

Santa must have thought these kids were pretty good!

Jackson loved the bey blades Paige bought him.

Sydney happy with her doll house

McKell always figures out what all of her presents are, but these shoes were a surprise!!

Paige loved her watch!

We were sure glad to have Michael home for Christmas this year.  I made him this shadow box with all of his items from Iraq.

We went ice skating again this year so it felt a little Christmasy here in the warm weather. (No complaints here)  I took a spill while skating with Jackson and have nursed my bruised elbow and knee all break.

Had to sneak a pic of Jackson.

  1. 3 weeks off? Wow, lucky kids! Ice skating is fun but I haven't done it in a long time. I think I'd fall down, too.
