More Boston and Spring Break



















Grandma and Grandpa took the kids to Savannah and got some great pics.  (It was a lot warmer there than where we were.)  When we got back we had lunch down town and went for a walk by the river. Paige was downtown with her friend bike riding and trying to evade the rest of us, but we just kept running into her everywhere we went. :)  Grandpa and Mike golfed 18 holes 2 days in a row and realized they were not in shape for the Masters yet, but enjoyed the beautiful weather none the less.

New Year's Eve 2021--Flagstaff

We spent New Year's Eve in Flagstaff with all of the kids and Jonny and Jo. We had a great time playing games, laughing, eating amazing food thanks to Jonny and Paige, and skiing. Everyone got along great and we felt so blessed to have those precious moments all together. The snow was so beautiful and it felt like we were in a dream world. The cold was fun for a few days, but I'm always glad to be back in warmer weather. The only downside to the trip was Jackson got really sick with Covid, and so that was a coincidental repeat from our ski trip last year to Flagstaff when Jackson gave covid to all of us. Luckily Mike, Sydney and I didn't get sick, but the other kids all tested positive. Looking forward to 2022 I told the kids that my word of intention is BELONG! I don't ever want a member of our family to feel like they have to fit in in order to belong. Prom Dresses

The girls found my old prom dresses in the closet and spent a good half hour mocking my taste in clothes. (I just can't understand why, these were really the "in" thing 20 years ago :)Then they tried them on and realized they fit and were even more shocked that I actually used to be their size. They couldn't believe their dad was attracted to me while wearing these dresses. Honestly, I can't believe it either. But I told them they better watch what they say, because what comes around goes around.

Gender Roles

This cook book has changed our lives.  We call it the "golden" book (not to be confused with the golden plates) because everything we make out of this book turns out awesome. (I guess the same could be said  for the golden plates too) I am highly motivated this school year to eat dinner together more often, and because Paige can drive now I am spending less time in the car and more time in the kitchen.  It has been almost magical! This weekend Mike and I also put in this path that took us a good 5 hours or so.  He has had more free time since he's been moonlighting less.
